Zim based Carnot Skynetyzia is something else.  Nigeria notices.

Published

Ok , so we, Africa,  are packed with hardcore, mainstream artists in the African circles dropping hits, music we enjoy daily. I’m sure every here and there there’s a playlist with Davido, Diamond Platinum, Mr Eazy,   Nasty C, Oliver Mutudzi, Winky D and the list is endless. Also with new stars and upcoming artists dropping heavy tunes too.  I’m currently looking into the African map, zooming into Zimbabwe where a multi-gifted artist and producer is doing wonders with different genres. A young guy named Carnot SkynetYzia doing  hiphop and Afropop and Afrodancehall at such world class levels , he’s becoming something else and   I suggest you go check him out.

Carnot SkynetYzia, real name Salim Tawanda Jecha, born in Gweru and has been all over his country growing up and schooling, till he started music in Bulawayo where his name sits among the gurus. “A hiphop changer” according to another magazine that spoke of him (www.lounge263.co.zw/skynet-yzia). Carnot’s events, posters and live performances videos posted  on his social media accounts and audios prove  he’s also a hard nut to crack in Afropop and Afrodancehall.

Among Carnot Skynetyzia‘ 2018 and 2019 songs are some outstanding tracks :
1. Chipondamoyo
2. Follow You
3. Kusango
4. Zvemoyo Remix (featuring Takura Life)
5. Lights On (ft Jae Drilla)
6. Ding Dong

As a producer , Carnot is a very dangerous man. There is a genre called “gqom” in Southern Africa and from it came out a hit song called “Wena Wule Wena” that rocked SADC in 2018.  Most people think the song is South African. Wrong! That track was produced by Carnot SkynetYzia in his own bedroom studio in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

You can access SkynetYzia’s exclusive tracks using his  Android application accessible on his website, www.skynetempire.blogspot.com OR simply go through his website and fetch the songs. His productions are also available on his webpage too.

As a character, Carnot SkynetYzia stands out to be a generous man sharing the little that he has. He is the founder and CEO of the record label Skynet Empire Worldwide and uses it as a platform to promote other artists around him. It is even difficult believe such passion to promote is coming from an artist. I should add, this Zimbabwean Carnot Skynetyzia and SA’s rap god Nasty C have something in common, they both lift as they rise.

You can directly reach Carnot Skynetyzia  at +263774852151 or email skynetyzia@gmail.com

By the way, I’m told he’s working on an EP called “Fire Body” – let’s wait on it.

Follow your new celebrity @skynetyzia on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Audiomack, Reverbnation, …..same username everywhere. That’s neat!

Iyanya, has shared the reality of Nigerian musicians, and the most vulnerable experiences they go through.

Published

In a recent chat with popular media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Iyanya stated that many of his colleagues are depressed, but are pretending to be happy and fulfilled online.

Prior to this, Iyanya had earlier opened up about his difficulties in a series of Twitter posts.

The ‘Kukere’ crooner recounted his struggles to land shows in December 2021, and how he even had to beg to perform at shows just to get visibility.

In recounting his struggles and return to the spotlight in the chat with Chude, the singer stated that his tweets inspired many people.

“It is the reality of the game, you know. When you are out for a while coming back is even harder. Most people don’t even come back. When you come back like that you have to let people know that sharing our stories inspires so many people.

“So many people reached out to me to say ‘thank you for that tweet you made. You’ve inspired me,” he said.

Iyanya further expressed how difficult it is for most Nigerian musicians, and how they create a facade to hide their struggles.

“A lot [of musicians are depressed]. A whole lot. The people who you see out there making you feel like things is good, they are the ones going through worst things. So, they try to make you feel like they are right. People are going through a lot. So, you have to be vulnerable with your experiences,” he added.
