Few days to his highly anticipated O2 Arena show, Asake releases visuals for “Lonely At The Top”. The song which is fans favourite comes from his sophomore album.
LONELY AT THE TOP video is a story by Asake that shows he still feels lonely even after earning success and top acheivements. Nine months after the release of his debut album, ”Mr. Money With The Vibe”, Asake dropped his the new album, “Work of Art”, where he drew inspiration from American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat and really tried to include references to classical music and works of art as he refines them with Afrobeats.
The Afropop singer, Asake, went on to title one of the sensational tracks on the “Work of Art” album, “Basquiat” – which is actually one of the most remarkable songs on the project. But without a single doubt, “Lonely At The Top” came on top as the best song on the album, and we can boldly say no other song on the “Work of Art” album can compete on the same level as this quality track.
Asake’s highlife influences, deep lyrics and strings on this tune can be felt in the soul. The melody was flawless. The track serves as a reminder of who Asake is apart from his signature sound, which is influenced by Amapiano. Without delving too far into the music itself, the song produced by Blaisebeatz is a perfect example of an entrancing sound.
