In 2008 I was watching a Korean drama called “Sad Love Story” which is still the greatest love story I’ve ever seen. Great story telling, great action and cute girls. All the good stuff. What stood out the most was the soundtrack with one piano piece in particular that always hooked me and got me all emotional everytime. Fast forward to 2015 and Drake drops his mixtape ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’, and its amazing. So amazing I just had to make a beat that Drake would have surely picked for the mixtape. How you ask? I sample that piano piece from the Korean drama and make the hardest beat I can. Thus ‘Stacks’ was born. I’m still waiting on Drake though.
