Laba Akpevweoghene Praise popularly known as Laba Praise was born on 8th November in Warri-Delta state, Nigeria. She is the eleventh child in a family of nineteen.
Laba got involved in music at a very early age, being a member of the children choir in her church and transitioning to the adult choir.
Laba Praise completed her primary and secondary school education in Delta state Nigeria and obtained both her first school leaving certificate and west Africa senior school certificate.
After completely her primary and secondary school education, Laba proceeded to Auchi polytechnic, Auchi-Edo state, Nigeria, where she graduated with a National diploma in Accountancy and went further to Nnamdi Azikiwe University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

In 2019, Laba Praise signed to Yo District Empire International, that same year, she released her first single ‘Kabiyesi Eshe’ and released another single in 2020 ‘It Feels Good To Know‘. Laba praise has also been involved in the making of various music projects as backup vocalist and co- writing.
Laba Praise is a member of Omega Fire Ministry under the mentorship of Apostle Johnson & Rev Lizzy Suleman.
