Who is JAX DeLASER?

JAX DeLASER is a Nigeria Rap/ hip-hop artiste, singer, songwriter, and graphic designer. Mayowa Christopher Adeniji [formerly known as McMighty], born April 3rd 1994 in Oko-Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. He is known for blending hip-hop with other styles of Nigerian music, often rapping in Yoruba, Pidgin, and English fluently.

EARLY LIFE, BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION

Born Mayowa Christopher Adeniji, also known as Jax DeLaser career started in 2002 under the name “McMighty.” He is a great freestyler, hardcore rapper, lyrical prowess, instrumentalist, and artist.

Jax DeLaser was born and raised in a Christian home and environs. As the eldest son of his parents, family of 6. His father’s name is Dn. Johnson A. Adeniji and his mother Dns. Florence A. Adeniji. He has 3 siblings, Janeshade Adeniji, Omotoso Loveth Adeniji, and Yanmife EmmyCrown. His background & experiences played a huge role in shaping his musical identity.

He attended Juli Standard Centre from nursery to Primary, and then further to College of the same above named school. Then, to the tertiary institution where he studied English Language. However, music was always his calling, and the only way to tell the stories of his struggles.

In 2015, he joined his fellow lyrical mafias to jump on the Designers’ Panda cover and he titled it “EBU” (meaning Fake) which instantly caught the attention of many due to its raw street vibe and clever Yoruba-English rhymes, and well laced with metaphor, & wordplay. Although, he had recorded a couple of tracks like ‘Hustle for the money‘, ‘Konisewu‘, ‘Bad to the core‘, ‘Awon temi badder‘, and many more before then.

His parents were initially not supportive, but he worked harder to pursue his music career and make his dreams come true.

Career

By her teenage years, she had started writing her own gospel songs and would perform her renditions of popular gospel tracks for her siblings. Rap Goddess began her musical journey in 2009, dedicating her free time to writing gospel songs in her bedroom and recording a few as an indie gospel artist.

As she evolved creatively, Rap Goddess transitioned from gospel to Hip Hop in 2011, marking the start of her career as a rapper. She has since honed her skills through underground rap battles and studio sessions. She frequently visits local studios and collaborates with producers and A&Rs to perfect her craft. Over the years, she has released several mixtapes, building a loyal fanbase within her community.

After much anticipation, Rap Goddess released her debut album, Big Motion, on April 14th, 2024.
