Joseph Akpan  Popularly Known As Prendelo Escalente

Was born in Lagos on the 20th of May, he started rapping and singing at the tender age of Seven and always played the lead role in all social activities in primary, secondary schools and on campus in the university.

He graduated from the university of Uyo in Akwa Ibom state after secondary education in Federal government College Ikot Ekpene. After graduation he had a partner who was his childhood and family friend and they met and decided to form a rap duo called Escalante of which they were recording songs from their stipends and allowances, the music they made had the admiration of a lot of fans and this got them their first record deal with Geometric Entertainment in surulere, where they dropped their first album called TOO MUCH.

The album had heated up tracks like : “Too Much”, “Here 4 You”, “Dance” etc and they collaborated with big producers like : OJB (RIP), T.O.D, Joe Kayne, H Code, Mark X, So sick etc, they also had videos shot by H code and had massive and extensive airplay on MTV Base, Sound city, Trace TV and all terrestrial TV and radio stations. The group Escalante had many appearances ie Jimmy’s Jump off, Laffs n Jams, Video wheels, Music Africa and performed alongside various A-list artistes at major events.

Prendelo was singled out because of his talent and grace and went on to feature on DJ Chascolee’s mix tape .
After a successful debut album the record label delayed their album sales and video promotions and this caused them to quit the label because the contract had expired, Prendelo now moved on to execute what he had studied in school and got a job with a multi national company called Tanamont Nigeria Limited which is into the importation, ware housing and sales of alcoholic beverages as a sales promotion manager, he was sent to Aberdeen Scotland for training on single malt scotch whiskies and became the brand ambassador for The Benriach and Glendronach Single malt scotch whiskies in Nigeria. This position he held till the brand pulled out of Nigeria.
He was still chosen to be the face of Best liquors ie Best Cream, Best Whisky and Best Gin, he was also given the portfolio to manage the latest brands ie Best VIP whisky and Best Inferno.
His Image is currently in use on the billboards with the brands.
In Jan 2018 he dropped another single titled “Shayo with Me” where he featured Mesh P on a Synthesis Beat and has taken Nigeria by storm again with his Broken english punchlines and heavy bass voice delivery.
