Confirmed Coronavirus cases in Ghana have jumped to 7 as another victim has tested positive.
The Ghana Health Service has confirmed on the service’s website that a 35-year-old Ghanaian who returned from France fortnight ago, has tested positive to COVID 19 in the Greater Accra Region.
“The case-patient is a 35-year-old male, a Ghanaian citizen, who returned to Accra from France within the past 14 days,” a statement on the site read.
The statement indicates that just like the previous cases, the current is also an imported case and the victim is in stable condition and he’s being managed in isolation.
This comes after the Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service confirmed 4 more cases to the initial 2 two days ago.
On contacts tracing, the report indicates that 350 people have been traced and they’re being worked on as The Noguchi Memorial Institute and the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative have tested 147 suspected cases.
The general public is still advised to adhere to the advance hygienic procedures given by the Ghana Health Service.
