Comrade Temo an indigene of Bayelsa state has expressed his dissatisfaction and disappointment over a concert organized by Timaya the self acclaimed Eberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa. Temo said “I can’t hide my displeasure over the just concluded ‘Timaya day’ held at Oxbow Lake, Yenagoa. Timaya, you didn’t only ruin our expectations, but you disgraced the Izon nation at large”.
What was that all about? A musician of your caliber, hosting show like one upcoming artiste?
The poor performance, unorganized arena, etc. I only give credit to 2baba (the King), who brought life to the show; with no apologies, I like to state categorically that; every other aspect of the event was below per.
That event cannot be termed as a show of the present times, whereas, it was an exhibition of unprofessionalism and incivility.
My dear brother, you can do better, you can upgrade Oxbow Lake to a modern day event center in collaboration with the state government.
We are moving with time, believe me Bayelsa has moved far better than that, please don’t take us back. I heard is an annual event, put yourself together, let next year’s be better.
Bring artistes of the time, we must not move down to Lagos before relating with our favorite artistes, bring them home, let them know that you are also a king in view.
