Renowned Catholic cleric identified as Reverend Father Chinenye Oluoma has given some detailed explanations as to why Christians across the world celebrate Christmas annually.

This comes after the general overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Daniel Olukoya, made a statement saying that Christmas is “unbiblical”.

It seems Reverend Oluoma has a new narrative as to why Christmas is celebrated as he disagreed with Olukoya, saying Christmas is celebrated by Christians as a mystery of the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a Facebook post titled ‘Where Is It In The Bible?’, HE further explained that there were many practices in Christianity which were not recorded in the Bible.

Reverend Oluoma also added that there are many other festivities such as mother’s day, attendance vigils, etc. that Christians engage in but are not in the Bible.

Oluoma added that the Bible is not against their celebration.

“Easter as a term is not in the Bible but we celebrate easter because it’s an event and a mystery recorded in scripture. “Same with Christmas, it’s not the term or calendar date we celebrate but the event and mystery,” Oluoma explained

The cleric also stated that there are many things Christians do that are not in the Bible and “God isn’t angry at all”.

He added that such practices as December 31at cross over vigil, birthday parties, wedding anniversaries are also not in the Bible.
